• Thanks for your interest. But this is a big event for such a small town. So, if you would bear with me, my counterpoint is that this is not so much "news" as it is "history" with proper citations to the source of the troubles, despite your swipe concerning the original niche news site and its related series on the unfortunate couple, and one national citation, of which there were too many to pick from, and unnecessary to reference as that would have been overkill. This has the same portent as it happens on every scale of government, it is similar to the escapades involving Patrizia D'Addario. And politics and sex have always been important focal points of contention in government.

• • I'm very aware of the size of the event. I live in Lee County. The problem here is not that there is no documentation or that someone covered the event (fairly trivially). I cited to reasons for removing it. The first is WP:NOTNEWS. SpecificallyI am referring to: "Wikipedia considers the historical notability of persons and events.""Routine news coverage of such things as announcements, sports, and tabloid journalism are not sufficient basis for an article. Even when an event is notable, individuals involved in it may not be. Unless news coverage of an individual goes beyond the context of a single event, our coverage of that individual should be limited to the article about that event, in proportion to their importance to the overall topic." Do you honestly feel this is a HISTORIC event in the Town's history? The second item I cited was WP:RECENTISM. One of the suggestions in that is: The "ten-year test" is one simple thought experiment which may be helpful: "In ten years will this addition still appear relevant? If I am devoting more time to it than other topics on the page, will it appear more relevant than what is already here?" In ten years, do you think this will still be relevant? Given that Janke and his wife have announced that they are moving from Lee County, do you think there will be coverage of this in 6 months? If you look at the article, all you see are facts and stats. Is the most relevant, notable thing we can add to this article a scandal about a town employee that gave him and his wife their 15 minutes of fame (or imfamy)? Maybe consider reading WP:UNDUE as well. Just as a reference, do you see any mention of the firing of the county manager Don Stillwell (who actually did something wrong, not just related to someone who did) in the article on Lee County? Dramatic population drop
