editHighway: A highway is any public road or other public way on land. It is used for major roads, but also includes other public roads and public tracks: It is not an equivalent term to freeway (motorway), or a translation for autobahn, autoroute, etc.Keith-264 (talk) 11:18, 18 September 2015 (UTC)
Who was Capuuzo
editI assume that Fort Capuzzo was named after a person who was he?

edit@Kornatice: I think it would help if you discussed your reasons for what seem to me to be rather eccentric edits. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 01:32, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
- Well, my most recent (reverted) edit consisted of a few separate changes. First, the RAF squadron link. There was an incorrectly-formatted link to the Royal Air Force article. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking implores us not to place two links directly next to each other, so I folded it into the squadron link instead. Then there was the matter of the lieutenant-general. It is quite unnecessary to have his title given in Italian, so I removed that, leaving only the English translation. I then added the words "led by" to explain the Lt Gen's relationship to the division.
- There's a lot more to my first edit, but I would be happy to give an in-depth explanation if you really want one (or anyone does). Kornatice (talk) 01:55, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
- I know that adjoining links are deprecated but overlapping them isn't the way around it. Adding the Italian spelling of a rank adds local colour and "led by" is unnecessary since bracketing the commander at first mention is a convention and obvious. I've separated the wl, see what you think. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 09:09, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
- I approve of that rewording, but what is "local colour" and how does it improve the article? Kornatice (talk) 20:36, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
- A lot of English speakers won't know Italian ranks so sticking on in occasionally adds local colour. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 20:50, 13 May 2023 (UTC)
