Page is overly reliant on specific examples from the US

It's very difficult to read this page and get a concise sense of what a flash flood warning is, how the warning systems function, or what their global context is. This page needs a lot of work. Right now it's essentially an incredibly lengthy list of flash flood warnings that have been issued in the past ~10 years for storms of questionable notability, although it's also questionable whether there is value in simply listing the first time a flash flood warning was issued in a place even if it was a notable storm; the question is whether it's relevant to the topic of this page, which is the warnings themselves. How about the first time a flash flood warning was issued anywhere in the world? Also, I really don't think there is much value in quoting verbatim 4 different specific alerts in text form, either. I may take some time in the next day or two to address some of these issues, although I hope it's not too alarming when this results in probably a significant amount of the material on the page going away, unless somebody has a strong objection. (I may be using Tornado warning as some kind of guide, although that too has been flagged as having unnecessarily long quotations of NWS alerts under an "examples" heading) Ejl389 (talk) 04:07, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
