Fitra is Five Things According to the Hadeeth edit
The fitrah is five things – circumcision, shaving the pubes, trimming the moustache, cutting the nails and plucking the armpit hairs. Source: al-Bukhaari (5891) and Muslim (527) from Abu Hurayrah [1]

- Jokes apart. I have tried to improve the article based on some scholarly sources. Fitra is a vital and illuminating concept in Islam. It may even be the most significant of all Islamic concepts. - I also want to add on a side note that specific traits identified with fitra in hadith sources are definitely relevant, and those traditions including the cited one above can certainly be added to the article, with recourse to reliable sources. What I have found objectionable here is the attempt at limiting the scope of the concept of fitra based on a single prophetic tradition. Fitra thus is not "Five Things According to the Hadeeth". It is rather "five things according to a Hadith", although I never came across such a tradition. That in no way means it doesn't exist. Fitra is first and foremost a theoretical concept, and has been explored at great length by many scholars. Although I do not know what hadith sources really say about fitra except maybe one or two often quoted hadiths, I cannot imagine the prophet reducing such a grand notion to ritual purities alone, though ritual purities might form a part of it.
