Merging can be a good idea

This proposal has been up for nearly 2 years (it's been unsigned), but I think it's a good idea if done correctly. If anything, it will simplify the disambiguation page. I would suggest merging this page and its US counterpart into a combined article; the more-complete UK article should remain freestanding. The US and Canada articles have a format that compliments each other better. --SteveCof00 (talk) 08:04, 19 December 2011 (UTC)

To clarify, there is no such thing as First Student (United States), it should just be First Student (the first First Student), and the others are properly named independent parts of First Group, with First Student Canada being the dominant part of First Canada. The official divisions of First America are First Student, First Canada, First Transit, First Services and Greyhound. Each of those divisions has its own internal subsidiaries. If you wish to reorganize those article make sure they fit with the corporate plan not how you imagine the might fit together. Secondarywaltz (talk) 14:53, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

Hard to find sources on this, but it seems that First Student Canada is part of First Student (United States) and should be discussed inside that article. Nothing in my research shows that this is an independent company. 162 etc. (talk) 15:48, 1 May 2021 (UTC)

Support merge; it does seem as though First Student is one company active throughout North America (US and Canada); see, for example, discussion from First Group here. Klbrain (talk) 20:51, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
