In media portrayals and popular culture edit

In South Park`s first episode of season 11, titled "With Apologies To Jesse Jackson," Randy Marsh goes to the Comedy Factory to watch a stand-up comic named Coyote Brown. Brown makes a joke about G.P.S navigation systems being right out of "Far Out Space Nuts." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paulrogic (talkcontribs) 15:37, 31 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

The link in External Links: http://www.bobdenver.com/Bob_s_Other_Series/Far_Out_Space_Nuts/far_out_space_nuts.html is misleadingly Titled Bob Denver's recollections of the show. While it does lead to a wonderful website, a biography if you will, of which 99% contains Gilligan's Island references etc. it does not lead to Bob Denver even mentioning the show Far Out Space Nuts, let alone sharing recollections! Therefore the external link should and will be removed by me unless the Title is changed to something other than a false claim, which was apparently posted by an overzealous Bob Denver fan, who failed to even read the website..--75.17.209.19 (talk) 17:37, 31 December 2011 (UTC)Dr. SReply

Why Chuck McCann instead of Alan Hale? edit

I enjoyed this show when I was a kid. Like many Krofft shows, it was silly and improbable, but it was funny. My older brother once questioned why they had Chuck McCann as Barney instead of Alan Hale, Jr. (aka, The Skipper on "Gilligan's Island"). McCann worked well with Bob Denver, but not as well as Hale did (that's my opinion, anyway). Was there any particular reason for this choice? Was Hale unavailable, or did the producers simply not want the show to look too much like "Gilligan's Island"? I ask for no reason other than curiosity. 67.45.112.74 (talk) 17:07, 26 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
