I've started a new article based on my memory of the group. --KQ - 20:31, 1 November 2002

(Note from the "Newpages patrol":) Articles containing trivia on various single songs by this band have been started by Stefano Magliocco (contributions) … Posing the question to y'all whether the information in these articles is encyclopedia-worthy? I've suggested merging them all back into this article (in the process, paring out what is inappropriate). -- IslandGyrl 18:44, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

  • I'd suggest to merge them with the articles appropriate albums, rather than the band's article. I'll add any information to the album pages but I don't know how to take down the song pages. Stefano Magliocco 00:02, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Best band ever. EVER!

Yup there awesome 2nd only to pearl jam in my opinion.. Mike Patton is the best singer i've ever heard and its amazing how they manage to blend so many styles together and not sound bad!!!! — Preceding unsigned comment by 210.84.228.157 09:42, 4 May 2005

Seems that people spell Chuck's last name either "Mosley" or "Mosely", however on the credits for "Introduce Yourself" it's spelled "Mosely". — Preceding unsigned comment by 80.166.185.15 16:49, 18 July 2005

The Faith No More entry has been compromised by a contributor who has poor spelling and phrasing techniques. I have edited as best I can, but would appreciate some assistance. — Preceding unsigned comment by 82.35.67.117 01:33, 6 November 2005

This entire entry is one big mess. It's too obvious that many different people have been involved. The text is fragmented. What is needed is a re-write using much of the valuable information already submitted. — Preceding unsigned comment by 83.88.137.34 15:31, 9 November 2005

HDS-as well since, im not sure, as i cannot find it, it would be good to keep in the history the canceled singles (Gentle Art Of Maknig Enemies, Take This Bottle & She Loves Me Not). As well if it could be incorporated somehow that the bands first name was, before Faith No Man, Sharp Young Man, acording to the official biography book The Real Story, which should btw be made into an article, but some1 would need to make a nice scan, like i was nice enough to make, as well as create for the dvd and 2 of the VHS. haha. FNM IS the best band. hands down.

prehistoric FNM

Joe Pop-O-Pie claims that he was FNM's first singer. And some photos show undoubtly a few members of FNM as members in his band from 1982 to 85. There are also some Mr Bungle members credited as former members of his band. This should be mentioned, shouldn't it? --194.114.62.65 15:06, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

HDS- Well hes listed on the web site, and I have heard his name before. So I believe, without a doubt that he was in Faith No More, keeping in mind not Faith No Man. That means that yes i think he could of been the first signer after Mike Moris left... those pix are pretty legit too.. but i think the only reason he has them up is for self advertisement. lol

Outrageous FNM Moments

The poop in the orange juice carton incident happened whilst they were on tour with L7, not Guns N Roses. I'll fix this as soon as I get a chance.

HDS- No you wont, were getting that section taken out. its pointless. haha

"Outrageous Moments"

The entire outrageous moments section needs to be removed. Much of it, if cited, can be absorbed into a history section, but trivia sections such as this become catch-all places where everything is put... Xinit 16:00, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

HDS-I most definatly agree.. this band is the shit, but those parts are pointless. if that informatino is needed in anything, its kids' fan sites. not here.... as well: STOP ADDING "The Gentle Art Of Making Enemies" IN THE SINGLES. It was NOT a single, it was simply on the greatest hits because it was supposed to be a single, but was later canceled, and ended up only getting airplay by being advertised with the "Ashes To Ashes" single. Thank you.....

btw, Perfect Crime was not a single either.... a single has to be released as a single, not simply have a song, and not even a music video for it...never even played live.

There is a slight chance that it actually was released as a 1-track promo and i actually used to know someone who had seen the CD cover somewhere so we should probably keep 'Gentle Art..' out of the singles section 'till someone does track it down. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.245.200.230 (talk) 05:55, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Songs to Make Love To

Anybody know why this isn't listed anywhere? — RevRagnarok Talk Contrib 14:31, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

HDS- Beacuse its a single... not an EP.. all faith no more singles have 4 tracks. or around there. an EP is something released as an album but shoreter then 30 mins, and longer then 10.. not planned as a single but ended up with more then 10 minutes.

Album Cover ... re: The Real Thing

Just wanted to note that the album cover posted for TRT is not the full album cover, but a crop of the cassette cover used as the CD cover. The original cover feature a desert landscape at sunset (sunrise?) inverted with 3 of the flame icons superimposed. Album covers cicra lates 80s were still being produced in cassette format and usually just altered to fit CD dimensions. (kinda like in the late 70s - early 80s when albumm covers were still in LP format and they were just slapped on to cassetes with a black header and footer to conform it to cassete dimensions.)

-HDS. Right you are!!

not cassete, vinyl LPs. the cassete was a crop too. DeABREU 09:27, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

iv added the vinyl cover to the article. Balthazar (talk) 13:12, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

The FNM Discography

It seems that the fnm.com website has been down for quite some time, so perhaps it has been taken off... they had on there a pdf of a complete discography. i was wondering if anyone has it and could send it to me. thanks.

Singles

I made a chart for the singles. Feel free to edit it, although I'm 99% I got everything right. Xanarki 20:25, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Fixed the We Care A Lot single... dunno how you could have ever gotten that wrong.. also Another Body Murdered was also a single, and was released in 1993, prior to Jims departure, but he had nothing to do with the recording...

i started a joke

who played the singer in the video?...he looked familiar, though not a band member, im sure...
