I work in a standards support group. We were just advised that 10-4 was cancelled without the naming of a replacement. There are 10 standards total.

Merger proposal

FIPS 10-4 appears to be the name of a standard that encompasses both FIPS 10 digraphs and regional tetragraphs. If this is correct (an expert will need to verify), then it makes sense to leave this page separate -- although it should be edited to reflect its larger scope. I believe that List of FIPS region codes should be included in the merge.

It's important to note that FIPS 10-x is deprecated and references to the standard should be in the past tense.[1] —Danorton (talk) 18:05, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

Update needed

As this FIPS standard has been withdrawn, the article needs to be updated to refer to the standard in the past tense and the superseding standard needs to be referenced.[2] —Danorton (talk) 18:34, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
