Nomenclature and renaming
editRight now, "Government" is used onthis page in the sense of a collective body of ministers, that is, the executive branch. However, there is considerable room for confusion, for if taking "government" to mean the ruling authority of a state, the "Government of Catalonia" would instead be Generalitat of Catalonia, Generalitat translating as "government" in the latter sense. Thus, as per WP:D, I've renamed this page as Executive Council of Catalonia and edited the page accordingly. --Varavour (talk) 19:07, 22 September 2015 (UTC)
Couldn't agree more--109.164.249.106 (talk) 19:18, 28 October 2015 (UTC)
- Executive Council of Catalonia is not a name sustained in source as much as it is Government of Catalonia or Catalan Government, being the latter strongly used by books, articles, press and the body itself. I'd request the renaming of the article to avoid any political minimization of a nation and its institutions, as it was agreed previously in this thread without any academic or bibliographic basis.
