Request to remove advertisement tag

edit

Hello all! I was the creator of this page, which eventually became tagged with an advertisement tag. I have worked to modify and adapt content to make it feel less like an advertisement and remove POV issues. I believe it should be able to have that flag removed, but want to run it by the Talk page. What are everyone's thoughts on this? PickleG13 (talk) 01:59, 22 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

I'm cool with it. 104.167.149.114 (talk) 22:51, 17 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Jenny Nicholson Video Removal

edit

I removed the segment dedicated to the Jenny Nicholson video. It is a good video, and I have watched about the first hour of it, I like the commentary it has had on the park so far. However; if the video is referenced again it needs to be part of a broader segment on the park's reception or something in the future. The video itself is not notable enough to merit an entire section of the article dedicated to it, particularly since there are no third party sources other than the video itself which deem it to be important enough for that.

As a comparison, it would be like adding a segment to the Star Wars page titled "Roger Ebert Review" and dedicating an entire paragraph just to the Roger Ebert review when that is better as part of a broader view 'Critical Response' section. Focusing an entire segment of the article to Jenny Nicholson's video review pushes beyond the WP:SCOPE the page should have. Xboxtravis7992 (talk) 02:58, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

It's less like Star Wars and Roger Ebert and more like mentioning Mystery Science Theater 3000 in an article about Manos: The Hands of Fate. Shama From MySpace (talk) 20:58, 26 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
That is a fair comparison.
Ironically though, the recent video on Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser represents a good example of where Nicholson's video on that topic was appropriate to incorporate into the article IMHO, since several third party media outlets picked up the Nicholson video then responded with their own editorials noting the importance of the Starcruiser video as a critique and then expressing their own critique following that. From what I can tell though, the Nicholson video on Evermore failed to generate such a wide response as the Starcruiser one had; and I stand by why I removed it prior; unless more third party sources noting the Evermore video as noteworthy critique occur such as what happened with the Starcruiser one.
