The Poland Issue edit

I notice someone has taken Poland out of the list and asked for a source. I copied the countries that were planned to take part in the contest when the list was revealed: http://www.eurovision.tv/content/view/240/1/ It would appear though that Poland has now withdrawn. Interestingly, Lithuania is not on that page at all. Is there even a source on this article on Lithuania entering? --Gottago 21:19, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Lithuania was added by anon, so hoax is probable. Deleting while unsourced. `'mikka 21:34, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Lithuania was re-entered into list so I have taken it down and written a hidden comment into the edit box (though somehow I doubt whoever's doing this will read and follow the message). Also, it has been confirmed that Poland will be entering the contest. --Gottago 11:23, 20 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Split page, one for format, other for 2007 event edit

Hi, I think that like the Eurovision Song Contest the Dance equivalent should have a page for the format and one page for each year in the contest. So the page under this name should be for the format, and a new page for 2007, just like Eurovision Song Contest 2007. -- Chris as I am Chris 00:54, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree. This should only be done when we know more about the contest, though. I think it would be great to have articles on each country as well (like with the song contest). --Gottago 21:19, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Agree also, I have added a tag to the page. AxG 21:26, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
I second Gottago: it must be split after the event, when there will be something to write about. `'mikka 21:29, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
I'm starting to think we should create the seperate country articles now as the contestants for the contest are starting to be annouced (albeit only Ireland and Ukraine). Anyone agree?--gottago 12:29, 12 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Create A London 2008 Page edit

I know people may think it's too early but why not create a 2008 page, the reason?

In the extract of the rules on the official site (www.eurovisiondance.tv), it states that this year's participants have signed up for the first two years of the contest. Twintrees 10:33, 7 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

future tag edit

In my Opinion, the future tag should be removed and only be added on the EDC 2007 page, because this main page is generally about the Eurovision Dance Contest, therefore the tag would stay here forever and for always. --MOK120 22:30, 9 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

2009 - hosted by Poland? edit

Does anyone know whether or not 2009 will be hosted by Poland? I've reverted several attempts to change the 2009 host to Warsaw, as they were un-cited and my understanding is that the 2009 host is yet to be decided. Has anything been officially announced yet?

Hosting section - commercial sponsors edit

I notice the hosting section matches that of other the hosting section of the other Eurovision contests, in that is states "Most of the expense of the contest is covered by commercial sponsors and contributions from the other participating nations." While this is true of the other contests, both editions of the Eurovision Dance Contest were hosted by the BBC, which does not show advertising, and the 2008 FAQ page for the contest stated "There are no European broadcast sponsors for this edition." Would it be worth rephrasing this sentence on this article in particular, to state that there were no commercial sponsors for the two editions of the two Eurovision Dance Contests that took place, but there could potentially have been commercial sponsors funding subsequent editions hosted by commercial broadcasters? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wp27 (talkcontribs) 22:11, 11 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Proposed replacement for deleted pages for each participating country edit

I am going to work on putting together a combined page containing the content that is still relevant from each of the previous pages for '[Country] in the Eurovision Dance Contest', to house further information regarding each nation's participation that wouldn't fit on the relevant year pages. Any suggestions welcome :) Wp27 (talk) 19:16, 3 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
