Huygens and "coined"

Huygens published/presented his scientific works in Latin and French. I spent some time looking for anything he may have penned in English and have not found a single thing. Hence, I am quite doubtful that he "coined" any English word. As of yet, I have also not found any translation of Huygens work where the translator used the word "entrainment." 3piecesuits (talk) 17:17, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

retitle this article

Isn't this process known more commonly as synchronisation or resonance? Subtitling it as physics is very confusing, as entrainment is far more commonly known as a process in fluid dynamics, which is also within physics. Alternatively, could this page be retitled as entrainment_(oscillators) to avoid this confusion?

Entrainment in fluid mechanics is a very commonly known process in which adjacent bodies of fluid exchange fluid into the more turbulent body of fluid. I think having the physics article on entrainment being about Chogg (talk) 20:33, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
