Merge proposal edit

As TRUenergy acquired former EnergyAustralia retail business and rebranded itself as EnergyAustralia, we should probably merge these articles. As an alternative, keep these articles separated but rename this article EnergyAustralia (state government enterprise) to talk about the former company existing until 2011, and rename TRUenergy EnergyAustralia. • Comment Given that EnergyAustralia has a significant history of its own, merging them probably wouldn't be appropriate. But it's fair to surmise that people looking for "EnergyAustralia" are probably looking for its current incarnation rather than its previous one. So I'd support your latter suggestion - add some {{about}} dabnotes for clarity and it should work fine. (Renaming TRUEnergy to EnergyAustralia is necessary because the company has changed its name, from what I can tell - so the EnergyAustralia article is going to have to move.) • Generally support per Rangasyd. Pdfpdf (talk) 12:07, 14 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
  • Thank you. There seems to be consensus for moves and no support for a merger, so I removed merger proposal tags and continue with moves per revised proposals. Beagel (talk) 17:13, 14 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
