Talk:Endorsements in the 2024 Republican Party presidential primaries

Add new Trump endorsements from TX edit

Seven congressmen and one congresswoman, a former congresswoman and the Texas land commissioner endorsed Trump. See the announcement regarding Trump’s leadership team in Texas: https://twitter.com/reallizusa/status/1639744638998151171?s=46&t=dq2GzoOrkOe8nuzUEYXCnw 31.20.203.223 (talk) 01:32, 26 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Can we use twitter as a source? Przemysl15 (talk) 07:59, 30 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

This list seems to uses "Endorsement" way too generously edit

There are people on here that I do not think have genuinely endorsed Trump. Some of the sources are two years old and I do not think they are indicative of the actual endorsement environment. I would think we should limit it to formal endorsements that are since the candidate has announced their candidacy, or since Jan. 1 if the candidate has still not announced.

I agree with this. There are endorsements here where individuals have not endorsed the candidate at all.GRosado 19:31, 21 August 2023 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by GRosado (talkcontribs)

Jeb Bush did not decline to endorse… edit

Former Florida Governor, Jeb Bush endorsed Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis for President. SmashingThreePlates (talk) 01:09, 15 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Endorsement for Dr. Taylor Marshall edit

Carson Wolf (an American tradcath YouTuber) has endorsed him. I get he may not be super "big", but I think this is decently significant. 2600:4040:445D:C200:FD04:FCA8:76BD:A13E (talk) 20:06, 4 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

DeSantis and Trump endorsements edit

Currently there are no tables for either candidate, with links redirecting to pages for the individual candidates. I think the article would look cleaner if all the endorsements were listed on this page. Was curious what others thought. Epicradman123 (talk) 20:33, 6 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Trump+DeSantis have too many endorsements to have on this page I say. Tipsyfishing (talk) 01:04, 4 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please update map with Burgum Endorsement edit

It's been a few days and the map is still outdated as Kelly Armstrong has endorsed Burgum Icecaprisun (talk) 22:55, 30 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Kelly Craft endorses Christie, DeSantis, Ramaswamy edit

Why has she been removed? Mister Conservative (talk) 00:52, 6 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

On combining the three US Senatorial class maps into one edit

I took the liberty of removing the endorsements maps of the three classes of US senators and merging them all into a single one, hoping for better readability. Do yall think this is a better arrangement, should it be modified further, or should it just stay how it was? Longestview (talk) 19:35, 30 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

I propose you to add little box for each seat to better visualise the endorsements like the ones used in the senate map in the United States Senate article:

(And also, you incorrectly labeled Pennsylvania as having a republican senator and Moran and Cruz declined endorsements should be removed since Moran didn't declined to endorse and Cruz one is unsure so it is better to remove it) Punker85 (talk) 20:13, 9 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
That's my bad. I'll update it. Longestview (talk) 16:18, 13 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I like it, especially the senate diagram chart on the side, but I would have liked if you kept the colors on the states like you had done on your first version and to change Tim Scott seat color to black to make it consistent with the other maps and Cotton should be in no endorsement for the same reason as Cruz Punker85 (talk) 00:53, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Will Hurd Endorsement edit

Will Hurd announced on Instagram that he was dropping out of the presidential race, and endorsing Nikki Haley. That should be added as soon as possible. 71.173.76.8 (talk) 22:53, 9 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Haley endorsement page edit

I think Haley has enough endorsements and enough traction to deserve her own endorsement wikipedia page like Trump or DeSantis 2603:8080:4D00:4514:3538:1E3B:9649:477C (talk) 05:13, 30 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Endorsement map edit

I’ll say it again on the new page. Whoever is in charge of updating the endorsement maps suckssssss. 2601:8C:B80:BB40:89C9:D2AD:CEF9:2F64 (talk) 02:10, 26 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

FiveThirtyEight discontinued the endorsement tracker edit

With Haley dropping out, FiveThirtyEight has stopped tracking endorsements saying that all endorsements hereafter would be considered general election endorsements. Netizen3102 (talk) 07:10, 7 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

I have created a new map for any gubernatorial endorsements that occur from now on.
