In the Unicode table " U+1F594 🖔 Reversed victory hand " to be included. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V_sign#As_an_insult

Further to this I would have thought the block 1F590 through 1F596 would have been included. MikyD (talk) 12:01, 6 December 2017 (UTC)

Not done They're not on this list therefore they're not, strictly speaking, emojis. --ChiveFungi (talk) 13:05, 6 December 2017 (UTC)

SMS/MMS requiring "data" mode

This article should say more about SMS/MMS mode/coding issues. It seems common that use of non-text features such as Emojis automatically converts a text msg into MMS -- which can be hard for some phones to receive. A particular issue is when fancy text messages cross over the line into requiring "data" mode to send or receive.-73.61.15.80 (talk) 17:16, 13 December 2017 (UTC)

The SMS standard can support emojis because they are text characters, although using the required encoding UTF-16 instead of its defacto subset UCS-2 is not mandatory. I don't think this article should go into more detail than the one on GSM 03.38 does. A note linking there would probably be okay. — Christoph Päper 10:28, 14 December 2017 (UTC)
