Talk:Elvis in Concert

"The concert at Omaha is considered by many Elvis experts to be the worst concert Elvis ever performed."

Are you sure about it? It is definitely not the worst! It may be the worst which is filmed, but it was pretty ok show compared to some of '76 summer shows or someone call the worst which was '74 september 28th ES in College Park Maryland, in Baltimore... but the fact is that Omaha show wasn't the worst at all and I'm sure that there is no experts who thinks so... I guess it's just the worst filmed show! 62.65.212.100 15:49, 16 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • Regardless, it's a review statement and unsourced. That's a violation of WP:NPOV so I'll remove it, though I'll add some cited material. 23skidoo 20:42, 22 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

VHS availability edit

Are we sure this was not available on VHS at some point? The reason I ask is I recently found a BitTorrent download of this from isohunt and other sites. The only thing I could think of is that someone with a VHS may have taped this show if it was shown at a later date. --Brian(view my history)/(How am I doing?) 22:58, 3 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

The show has been bootlegged on video and DVD, which should send a message to the estate that fans would like to have this material released officially. Sure, Elvis doesn't look great considering the concerts were filmed a few weeks before he died, but that's no reason at all to deny the public the material. Elvis is in good form here, especially on "Unchained Melody."--Susan Nunes 13 February 2008

Reactions edit

There are also several positive reviews of this material out there including statements by Bono. BillyJack193 (talk) 04:42, 9 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Removed one line for further verification edit

I have removed the following line from the description section:

...Indianapolis airport receiving a gold record from RCA Records for his final album, Moody Blue, on June 26.

This is impossible because the Moody Blue album wasn't released until July so could not have received a gold record before release. Could this have meant to refer to the Moody Blue single? As I do not have access to the special, I cannot verify, so under WP:BOLD I took the line out for further verification. 50.66.121.20 (talk) 03:55, 18 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
