Talk:Elmton with Creswell

Dates to be checked edit

It would be appreciated if the writer of this article, or someone who knows the history of northeast Derbyshire, to check the dates in this portion:

"By 1984 Creswell had grown into a hamlet of 30 - 40 houses. The Midland Railway was constructed west of the hamlet in 1975 and the Beighton branch of the Lancashire, Derby and East Coast Railway was constructed a little further west in 1886/97."

Another question, did Creswell or Elmton appear in the Domesday Book or not?

This is a long article, out of proportion to the size of the place being described. Perhaps it could be pared down.--Oldontarian (talk) 15:34, 7 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
