Elizabeth could never mean My God is an oath or my God is abundance! Firstly, Hebrew religion would never allow even this concept. “Thou shalt have no other gods before me,” would prevent such a thing. Secondly, basic understanding of Sanskrit languages reveals that the “possessor” always comes first while that which is possessed comes immediately after. There for the accurate translation in English is Oath of God as opposed to my God is oath, and Abundance of God as opposed to my God is abundance. editWhy does this article contain a photograph of the Queen? Is this really relevant? Yes, she is the Queen, but that's not an argument for giving her a special status. It's wrong to use any pictures in given name article.
