Founding date needs to be researched edit
This page shows 1878 for founding date. However, Spanish wikipedia page indicates 1869, & the INE web page cited in infobox footnotes shows 28 May 1869. We need to research why the discrepancy and correct this (or the Spanish) page if necessary. --Catrachos (talk) 17:42, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
Here is what I've found so far:
Historia Se creó 28 de mayo de 1869. En 1825 El Paraíso formaba parte del Departamento de Tegucigalpa, (círculo Texiguat y Yuscarán) y de Olancho, (círculo de Danlí) hasta 1869, el Soberano Congreso de la República decretó en el artículo 1 crear nuevos Departamentos entre ellos El Paraíso; compuesto por toda la demarcación jurisdiccional de los círculos Gubernativos de Danlí, Yuscarán y Texiguat e incluso el pueblo de Guinope.
En 1878 se emite el siguiente: "Acuerdo en que se anexa el circulo de Texiguat al departamento de Tegucigalpa". Secretaria General del Gobierno Constitucional. Tegucigalpa, 28 de diciembre de 1878. El 28 de octubre de 1886 se agrega nuevamente el círculo de Texiguat al Departamento de El Paraíso con su cabecera Departamental: Yuscarán.

I went ahead and made the edits. This is heavily documented in Spanish language sources. The wrong dates that were published in this article are now copied all over English-language pages on the Web. I hope this will help. I have included selected references. There are many, many more going all the way back to 1869. --Catrachos (talk) 15:44, 14 September 2018 (UTC)
