merging

edit

If by changing the name to Dungeonscape (Dungeons and Dragons), thus adding a link to this page from the Dungeons and Dragons page is what you mean by merging, then I agree. Is there any way to change the title of the page, or should I just create a new one? Aetheilas 04:21, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

I moved the page for you, but I don't think that's what he meant. Bawolff 04:42, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
This page has 62 links to it. I think that in itself proably makes it important enough to have its own article. Bawolff 04:43, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
Okay, acording to the help page on merging, the fpollowing are the general reasons:
  • There are two or more pages on exactly the same subject.
  • There are two or more pages on related subjects that have a large overlap. Wikipedia is not a dictionary; there does not need to be a separate entry for every concept in the universe. For example, "Flammable" and "Non-flammable" can both be explained in an article on Flammability.
  • If a page is very short and cannot or should not be expanded terribly much, it often makes sense to merge it with a page on a broader topic.
  • If a short article requires the background material or context from a broader article in order for readers to understand it.
I think the main reason that this merge was proposed, is that If a page is very short and cannot or should not be expanded terribly much, it often makes sense to merge it with a page on a broader topic. However I think, considering its a book, a lot more information on it could be written after its been published, as can be seen by the many other articles in the category Category:Dungeons & Dragons books. its a short stub now, but it definitly has the potential to grow bigger in my opinion. Online tools

edit

So it seems WotC has decided to reuse the name of this book as the name for the new online tools for 5th Edition. So there may be a need for this article to be moved for disambiguation purposes. Of course, this presumes that the 5e Dragonscape tools deserve an article, but I am pretty confident that they will be notable enough for one. That said, 5th edition is not absolutely dependent on an online character creator, the way 4th Edition often was in practice if not in theory. oknazevad (talk) 23:53, 15 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Nevermind. It was canceled shortly after I wrote that first comment. Apparently it wasn't up to snuff. oknazevad (talk) 13:29, 24 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
