Problem with "Units under const." edit

@ScottDavis There's a problem with "Units under const." in that it stays in the infobox no matter what. I believe this is due to the wikidata entry. I have tried editing the relevant properties but it still remains. Do you have any idea how to fix this?

I think for the moment, please refrain from attaching wikidata entries to energy projects because you can't customise certain parameters (eg the turbine make and model), and all the problems it has caused are very irritating to fix. DiamondIIIXX (talk) 04:09, 19 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Crudine Ridge Wind Farm has a similar problem in that it doesn't show the Make & Model even though it is in the infobox. I've removed the wikidata link to Dundonnell Wind Farm and that has gotten rid of the annoying Units under const. designation, which is untrue since it has been completed. Problem is now that the rest of the parameters are now not showing. Maybe you could help fix it? @ScottDavis DiamondIIIXX (talk) 04:24, 19 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
@ScottDavis I'm giving up for the moment. This is driving me up the wall DiamondIIIXX (talk) 04:30, 19 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
@DiamondIIIXX: You sound a bit tetchy that it has taken me 11 hours to respond to your message on a work day. Please lighten up. I think I have fixed the issue on this page by adding the service entry (P729) qualifier to powered by (P516), after I read the ps_units_operational and ps_units_uc sections of {{Infobox power station#Parameters}}. If you are interested, there is more information at d:Wikidata:WikiProject Energy#Data structuring and its talk page. I can't see the problem on Crudine Ridge Wind Farm. --Scott Davis Talk 13:25, 19 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
@ScottDavis: Sorry, I was more annoyed with myself that I couldn't get it to work. I guess I wanted to ping to make sure you saw it.
Yesterday, there was no Crudine Ridge Wind Farm entry on Wikidata, and at that time, there was no Units operational : 37 × 3.63 MW or Make and model : General Electric 3.6-137 in the Wikipedia infobox, like there is now. It seems like the Infobox needs the Wikidata page to "expand all the options"?
I just find this quite confusing. DiamondIIIXX (talk) 20:43, 19 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
@DiamondIIIXX: Yes, {{Infobox power station}} can be completely filled from wikidata, for any kind of power station I think. Most of the clues you need are in the paprameters section of the template doc page. The wikidata project is additionally trying to standardise so the same data makes sense in other languages. --Scott Davis Talk 13:56, 20 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
