Merger edit

Drug holiday and Drug vacation are manifestly the same thing, and have duplicate articles, the latter probably created without knowledge of the former. Drug holiday is the better-known and more widely used term in the field, and should be the actual article. I propose to merge the articles and then add some material. --MCB 19:53, 29 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

The merger is complete; drug vacation now redirects here; and I reorganized the article and added sources. --MCB 04:23, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Debatable point in this article edit

I think it is debatable to say, as this article does, that drug holidays are best known in the field of HIV therapy. In the [[Radio Four]] programme "Inside Health" (the programme that is presented by Mark Porter) in April 2013, a man on the programme claimed that the most well-known use of drug holidays related to use of statins. Drug holiday as acknowledgement edit

The idea of a holiday is an acknowledgement that longer term psychoactive drug formulations may represent risks not apparent in early phases of use.

I removed this as it needs clarification or examples. Also, the phrasing seems a bit biased. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AttishOculus (talkcontribs) 16:57, 12 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Are there any facilities that take patients to monitor edit

Are there any facilities that take patients to monitor them long term when on excessive medications for multiple illnesses? 2600:1004:B10B:BF9C:0:2B:A21A:7F01 (talk) 02:20, 28 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
