Production Credits
editI would like to include the full cast and crew listing from the theatre's playbill. There are several copies of the playbill that are available to the public to view in various libraries and archives. I believe this would satisfy criteria for being an eligible citable source. Synopsis
editIn reading through the reviews of the production, I think that perhaps the synopsis is misleading, as it sounds right now more like a straight retelling of Till's murder, but the sources consistently describe it in more impressionistic terms. Justinkrivers (talk) 18:57, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
Destroyed copies
editI notice that the cited source of the Toni Morrison encyclopedia seems to be the primary source for the "destroyed all copies of the play" statement, but I haven't seen this repeated from any other sources at the time, nor corroborated in subsequent reporting. Several university archives list copies in their holdings, as well as the interview with Joseph C. Phillips. I am inclined to flag that line as it is a significant claim with weak sourcing. - I have now collected all the extant press that I think exists about the play, and there are no sources that corroborate this claim.
