name edit

So, I always remembered this being called "Don't Just (Not) Vote", and checked it up, and it shows up a bit, though I'm not sure if it should be the title, or just parenthesed aka. Murderbike (talk) 06:37, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I haven't come across any reliable sources using the alternate title so far, but it gets a significant number of Google hits so I've included it as an aka for now. Skomorokh incite 07:10, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I know Infoshop.org doesn't fulfill RS, but I can't imagine it wouldn't be enough for these purposes. Murderbike (talk) 07:41, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
RS? Reliable source? We are a reliable source (most of the time). Chuck0 (talk) 06:48, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I found 'Don't Just Vote used as the name in Rolling Thunder, so I've added that as a citation. think it would be a good idea for the Anarchism task force to figure out whether Infoshop and other anarchist non-dead tree media qualify as reliable (in the technical sense). If so, they could be extremely valuable sources. Skomorokh confer 23:17, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

some possible changes edit

My memory may be a bit faulty, but I remember this campaign as being initiated by several groups, not just CrimethInc. I also think that the Crimethinc footer template should be removed. If this was a coalition effort, it would be unfair to add an organization template to this entry. Chuck0 (talk) 06:52, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Cool, that claim was in the old deleted article, which I had no part in, and I haven't come across any other groups mentioned in the citations. I know a lot of groups, such as Infoshop.org, publicized it, but beyond that I haven't been able to find anything. I imagine you know more than I on this though, being directly involved. I will say that the campaign literature lists the CrimethInc. hub in Greensboro, NC as the contact address.
Regarding the template, even if it were a coalition, it would still be appropriate to have the footer template, because footers don't mean the article is "owned" by that org. For example, the article on guitarist Robert Trujillo has four footer boxes, one for each of the major bands he was associated with. Regards, Skomorokh incite 14:59, 18 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
