Classification

The classification of domestic robots is not exhaustive and it is not fully explanatory. It should be re-written by someone who has more knowledge about this subject. Lots of red links

In the list of robotic vacuums there are lots of red links and a laundry list of Samsung products. Any objections to pairing it down to the ones that are actually a) on the market and b) have WP pages about them? -- Autopilot (talk) 13:41, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

Stupid Ad Page

What is this, a commercial? Put your ads somewhere else and put REAL domestic robots on the page instead. Dishwashers are robots. Microwaves are robots. Televisions, toilets, kettles, ovens, freezers, fridges, digital clocks, remote controls, telephones, washing machines, stoves, air conditioners, DVD players, coffee makers, CD players, deep-fryers, and heaps more! The reason the things you mentioned aren't on the page is because those are referred to as machines, not robots. For a more accurate description of a robot see the Wikipedia articles on robots and robotics. The pictures is not of a Frisbee, it is a carpet cleaning robot. What's with the brand listing domination?

I can understand the listing of models of domestic robots throughout time and their progress and functions, but this page seems to be little about serious content and more of a list of domestic robot products. This is supposed to be an article informing about the subject, right?

Proposed merge with Robotic pet

I believe that this can be a redirect with potential, if someone is ever willing to expand it into a fully sourced article. But, currently, it serves little purpose as its own article, as it is entirely unsourced. The information is reiterated in this article. _{ZXCVBNM (TALK)} 09:47, 8 September 2017 (UTC)

• Oppose Robotic pets are almost commonplace (on shop shelves, if not homes) There is no reason at all to go backwards from the stub article we have, to a merge or redirect. Instead it should be expanded. Andy Dingley (talk) 09:55, 8 September 2017 (UTC)

• Not sure how it's going "backwards" - as nearly no content is lost in the redirect, besides dubious claims. As I said, it should be marked as a Redirect with possibilities, but currently it's better off as a redirect that can be expanded as a section of this article, rather than an unsourced stub._{ZXCVBNM (TALK)} 11:08, 8 September 2017 (UTC)

Amazon Alexa/Echo

Amazon Alexa was recently added as an example of a domestic robot used for entertainment. Technically, the hardware device in question would be the Amazon Echo.
