DVXA

With all due respect to the open source community, mentioning Media player classic first is hijacking.

Incorrect WDDM preqrequisite for DXVA2 statement?

I know Microsoft's own docs suggest this, but I have a Via VX700 which (according to DXVAChecker) does some EVR/MFT decodes even though it has XDDM drivers (though the drivers are explicitly targeted at Vista). 203.158.57.23 (talk) 23:12, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

DXVA for video conversion??

Everything here talks about video playing. However this program claims to use it to accelerate video conversion

Well I don't know if DVXA is used, but I know the GPU itself can be used. Things like Sony Vegas use the OpenCL library for using the GPU to accelerate the video rendering, making the total render time up to 10x faster. moeburn (talk) 17:09, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

"Video cards that should be fast enough are..."

"GPUs that should be fast enough are: AMD: Radeon HD 6xxx and newer"

I'd just like to point out that AMD actually explicitly says the minimum AMD card for copy-back GPU accelerated DVXA rendering. It's my card, the Radeon HD 5770. And it is definitely fast enough. I'll find the source, but in the mean time, it isn't "should be fast enough", its "AMD explicitly says that this is the lowest card that is fast enough". moeburn (talk) 17:07, 4 November 2013 (UTC)

This whole section is spurious. Fast enough for what? 640x480? 4K? What frame rate?
