Split myGov into a seperate myGov Australia article edit
myGov is too significant in terms of machinery of government (being a whole-of-government platform, one of the first) to not be it's own article. Discussions around controversies and it's modular ability to link with both state and national platforms would help to flesh it out. ItsPugle (talk) 02:21, 2 February 2020 (UTC)
- Good suggestion. I am open to it, but based on lack of interest, I think it should be kept here or under the relevant dept. Welcome expansion here as: (1) There has been very little interest in the this page from editors. (2) the topic has been rated low importance in the Australian Wiki Project. (3) Agree the fed govt is a big player in digital identity, but Attorney General is bigger than MyGov, I would argue, and it would be a pity to separate them from the identity context here. (4) other Australian identity pages have generated little interest - e.g. drivers license etc. (4) My gov is really just a single sign on and does not add much more functionality or set policies (compare Attorney General) online functionality in MyGov is provided by the departments e.g. ATO. (5) My Gov is an office within a department, a time bound political construct, giving offices their own Wiki pages seems excessive. (6) MyGov in India for example is a big deal - the out reach for people to hear about and connect to the govt - if it gets this big then I agree. ... If you or someone is able able, please feel free to extend the details here - it is your Wikipedia! As I said, am open to it being separate if someone is passionate enough - this is my 2 cents. - Also, note that MyGov.in and 'myGov' are similar but seperate systems in different countries. Suggest MyGov (India) and myGov (Australia). And a dab page at mygov. 220 of Borg 06:20, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
- Super sorry that I didn't see any of these replies folks! I completely forgot to watchlist :( I agree that myGov Australia maybe it's the best name, so I'm with 220 of Borg with myGov (Australia). ItsPugle (please ping on reply) 04:10, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
