I just wanted to point out that your pictures are not of Dictyota binghamiae. They are of another brown algae species, I don't have my marine algae key in front of me right now but the pictures are of either Cystoseira or Halidrys. Thanks for your feedback. I was given this ID by aquarist at the Birch Aquarium and I agree that it is correctly identified. Can you tell me what makes you believe it is something else? When you get a chance can you try to identify it to a species level?
