Mazrim Taim

edit
  • Is there really any need for the mention of the old Taim theories here? It's been thoroughly debunked for quite some time now. Antichris 17:06, 4 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Most of the text seems to be taken verbatim form 'The Guide', shouldn't this(that its verabatim quote) be mentioned here then, if i were the author i would be pissed off if someone quotes me without giving me credit. Analyzing and paraphrasing should be acceptable.

The Taim stuff should not be deleted, as it was still a central point when his character was being discussed on online forums. It still is, despite Jordam debunking it, and either way, the similarities should still be noted, especially since it caused a lot of theories before it was finally put to rest.--198.161.102.118 17:49, 2 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Although that Taim part is a central point of discussions, theories and original research are against Wikipedia policy. I really suggest we decide which solid facts are to be kept and which are not. Anthonydraco (talk) 12:09, 19 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

If it's not explicitly stated in the books (and we have it easier with these than say, Star Wars or Star Trek with all the conflicting canon from multiple sources), it shouldn't go in, unless the speculation is so notable that industry or appropriate niche news coverage picks up on it. I don't believe that any character even voices let alone thinks any suspicion in the books that Taim=Demandred. The closest we get is Lews constantly with his "Kill him!" nonsense. It's pure fan work. rootology/equality 00:21, 29 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. It never comes out in character from anyone. Nutiketaiel (talk) 11:13, 29 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

The Prophet

edit

Sammael says in LoC (when talking to Graendal) that he thinks Demandred has his hands in events in the South, which probably means either with the Whitecloaks or the Prophet's mob. Just something to think onGlass Matrim 17:04, 4 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
