I see no reason why this page does not merit entry in Wikipedia. The Portuguese-language Wikipedia has a very lengthy and in depth article on this group and I simply thought I would add an English-language stub to complement it. Furthermore, this group was being linked to in other English-language Wikipedia articles, such as Trem das Onze. A search for the group's name on Google yields over 150,000 hits.
So why exactly does this article not belong in Wikipedia?

- If the group has been in existance for over 60 years, then it should be fairly easy to find references which will back up that fact. A good number of references will also help to establish notability. WP:BAND requires two albums as far as I know. Can you show that the group has made at least two albums? - Of course I can, there are over a dozen albums listed on their Portuguese Wikipedia page and I'll just copy over that list. I can add a reference if you'd like too. - OK, I've declined the speedy deletion. You say that theres an article on the Portuguese wikipedia. You can link to it by placing [[pt:(article name here)]] on the page. Also, {{cite web}} is preferred over bare url refs. Please expand the article if you can, and add more references or this could still end up at WP:AFD. Mjroots (talk) 22:12, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
