History - "Sir Gonord"
editIt's unclear who the "Sir Gonord" who was "the general of Darsi & Donakonda" is. Possibly this is a spoken approximation of the name of General Sir Arthur Thomas Cotton of the Madras Engineers, who was responsible for responsible for major irrigation works in Andhra Pradesh and still held in considerable esteem. Confirmation anyone? Opbeith (talk) 22:01, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
- This query's been here about three months with no comment. Since there's no clue who sir Gonord might actually be, I'll delete the mention. Opbeith (talk) 21:36, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
