Lead Picture
editThe current picture is not exclusively of the character and not representative of his current look. I recommend Dauterman's interpretation from Giant-Size X-Men: Storm. Anyone object? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oopla32606 (talk • contribs) 22:01, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
Doug Ramsey, a Mormon?
editI've been a reader of the New Mutants for a long time and this was the first I'd ever heard of the character of Cypher being based on Joseph Smith. It sounds a bit speculatory to me and so, if there are no objections I am going to remove it unless someone can cite it. Gnosis1185 21:16, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
Move the Shattershot alternate reality to the Alternate Versions section?
Cypher in newuniversial
editIn a Comic Book Resources interview, Warren Ellis hinted that an alternate version of Cypher may appear in the upcoming newuniversial book. Should this be incorporated into the article? --Strannik 04:32, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

editNoting that Doug shares a name with another noted X-Character is one thing, but I think the added commentary about the matter should be deleted. Thoughts?
And as long as I have your attention, is there any proof that the crush Tarot supposedly had on one of the New Mutants was actually Cypher?
Fair use rationale for Image:Dougramsey.jpg
editImage:Dougramsey.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Work
editMuch, much work is needed on the entire article. Including chronologically. Lots42 (talk) 03:07, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Should this page be moved?
editSince there is a page for a DC Comics super-villain called Cypher (DC Comics), should this article be moved to Cypher (Marvel Comics)? I saw that this has been done with similar same name character situations such as Scarecrow (DC Comics) and Scarecrow (Marvel Comics).
