Leaving a quick note here. A Crorepati is worth 217,000 US dollars. Although India has a lower cost of living, adjusting for PPP, that only brings the equivalent US worth to 564,000 dollars, using IMF data for 2011. So rather than being "roughly equal", the crorepati is worth half of the millionaire.
