Last year I was working on a survey of C. ribicola infections in high elevation pines in California. We noticed what looked like telia on Castilleja spp. The sample was sent to the U.S. Forest Service's Forest Genetics Lab and Det Vogler has confirmed that the telia was from C. ribicola. One would really have to be a geek to care, but it looks like Castilleja spp. can also carry C. ribicola. SierraSkier 22:41, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
