Taking this up for review. My initial comments should be up within a few days. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 22:12, 7 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Kicking this off by assessing the infobox and lead.

Infobox edit

Lead edit

  • "a pair of interdimensional beings"..... I'd be more specific and say parrots
  • "Critics reacted positively to"..... praised
  • I'm not sure using "formulaic" here is appropriate tone when it carries a negative connotation and this is page supposed to be neutral (even if this was an opinion reviewers had)

More to come later. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 01:11, 11 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Gameplay edit

  • No concerns with File:Crash Twinsanity screenshot.jpg
  • I would recommend giving full names for our title Bandicoot and the Doctor upon first mention outisde of the lead
  • "HumiliSkate" is an aspect featured in a game, not a level title. The ones where Cortex is ridden like a board are "Slip Slide Icecapades" and "Rockslide Rumble".
  • Same goes for "RollerBrawl"; the name of Level 2 actually is "Cavern Catastrophe"
  • When mentioning "Doc Amok" for the levels where you have to clear Cortex's path, I would include the other one as well ("Bandicoot Pursuit"). He also isn't blind in that level, just running away from Fake Crash.

Plot edit

  • Don't WP:EASTEREGG Wrath of Cortex when talking about the "previous defeat". In other words, mention the game's title by name.
  • See above comment on "interdimensional beings"
  • Let's move ref#14 to the end of the last paragraph since it's still from the same cutscene as Cortex trying to get rid of Crash after they defeat the twins

The rest of this will most likely be assessed one section at a time. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 02:07, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

All points have been addressed. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 15:02, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Development and release edit

  • I will assume good faith that File:Lex Lang by Gage Skidmore.jpg is the uploader's own work when no evidence to the contrary can be found
  • My main issue with this section is its use of Crash Mania when that openly admits to being a fansite, so I would take pieces like these links with a grain of salt and opt for something else, especially when none of those mention Sierra Entertainment.
  • It would be nice to elaborate on why this didn't come out on the GameCube as once planned

"Reception" will be up next. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 02:05, 19 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Managed to find better citations for the developer and publisher, at least.
I understand your reservations surrounding Crash Mania, but I would think that the interviewees (two developers and the lead voice actor) can at least be regarded as trustworthy. Regardless, if that isn't good enough, I'm willing to swallow my pride and get rid of it, despite the absence of any good substitute.
As for the GameCube version, it's an issue I've encountered more than once with cancelled ports (NHL 96 and Road Rash II come to mind); sometimes a game is announced for a certain system, but nothing else comes out of it for some unexplained reason and it can't really be helped. Course, not for lack of trying since I've dug around at least twice now and couldn't find anything beyond the source already there. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 03:30, 19 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
IGN speculates "dissapointing performance" of past GameCube titles, for whatever that might be worth, and I'll allow Crash Mania if you're certain nothing better can be found for the rest of the text it's used for. Audio/video clips of developers and Lang discussing work on the game would've been nice but oh well. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 03:39, 19 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Went ahead and added the IGN point. And on the subject of Lex, I did find a candid YouTube vid of a con appearance where he goes into a little more detail on how he got the role and the direction he was given (though I suspect the reason he was given for Clancy's replacement was a PR-approved story from the publisher). I've been kind of reluctant to cite a YouTube vid like this as a source, but I figured I should bring this up just in case. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 04:12, 19 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
I don't see a problem with that particular link, and it helps that he actually mentions Clancy by name in what you just gave. Feel free to implement by all means! SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 04:24, 19 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Alright, cool! Just managed to work it in. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 05:42, 19 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Reception edit

  • "many of whom" seems like a stretch for Nina praise when you only cite four reviews
  • "universally criticized" is WP:SYNTH when this is based on a total of nine reviews, not every assessment critics have given or a piece discussing any consensus among them
  • "noted the inferior particle and lighting effects and frame rate in the PlayStation 2 version compared to the Xbox version"..... I'd go with "felt the particle and lighting effect and frame rate in the PlayStation 2 version were inferior to the Xbox version"
  • "[wore] on [his] nerves after a while" → "ended up wearing on my nerves after a while"
  • "unanimously considered a highlight"..... same as above, except you've given 12 reviews instead of nine
  • Sales don't really belong in this section when (contrary to what the current placement seems to suggest) copies sold has nothing to do with what reviewers thought of a game. I'd move these up to "Development and release", and give some specific figures there if known.

Almost done! My next batch of comments should be the last. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 01:47, 28 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

And fixed! Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 03:54, 28 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Possible continuation edit

  • Not sure why there's no mention of this game's sequel Crash of the Titans, what was actually made despite whatever might have originally been planned for a follow-up, or its successor Crash: Mind Over Mutant
  • Using "direct" from "direct Twinsanity sequel" is needlessly redundant when it's impossible to have "indirect" sequels to anything
  • This doesn't say anything about The All-New Cortex Show

References edit

  • I would put the "a" note on Sierra Entertainment into a separate "Notes" section
  • Be consistent with whether or not GameSpot and IGN have italics
  • Don't italicize "Crash Mania" or YouTube

Overall edit

  • Prose: Nearly there
  • 'Referencing: Some formatting needs to be adjusted and all content should be backed up by given references
  • Coverage: Sequel information is missing
  • Neutrality: No bias found
  • Stability: Looks good
  • Media: All images are properly licensed
  • Verdict: Beginning now, I'm putting the nomination on hold for seven days. That should be plenty of time to address the remaining comments. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 02:39, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Alright, should be fixed now. Entering "website" italicizes it by default, so had to switch those all to "publisher". Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 03:33, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Two more things: remove "possible" from the "Possible continuation" section title (something I forgot to mention earlier), and we'll need citations for the follow-ups listed, mainly to support being developed by Radical Entertainment. SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 13:27, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
And done. Cat's Tuxedo (talk) 15:31, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Now promoting to GA, congrats :)! SNUGGUMS (talk / edits) 19:39, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
