incomprehensible explanation edit

A well-known sign/countersign used by the Allied forces on D-Day during World War II: the challenge/sign was "flash", the password "thunder", and the countersign (to challenge the person giving the first code word) "Welcome".

Especially "to challenge the person giving the first code word" is incomprehensible. The first codeword is flash, apparently given by the approaching person (but that's unclear too), and it's given by the person saying welcome, who's obviously not challenging himself. And even if the intent was to say "to challenge the person giving the password" the word "challenge" is illogical because a challenge requires a response. --Espoo (talk) 06:50, 4 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
