Neo-Coptic Icons edit

Can anyone explain why the neo-Coptic icons are so cartoonish looking? TheEvilPanda (talk) 15:52, 27 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Rename edit

This article should be renamed "Coptic art" as wall-paintings in particular are a very important element in Coptic art. At the least it should be renamed "Coptic icon(s)" as the primary meaning in English of iconography is the art-historical one, not the icon-painting one. Johnbod 15:36, 27 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Cleanup / Rewrite edit

This article is in rather bad shape at the moment. It contains a lot of malformed sentences, partial sentences and bad formatting. I can do some copy editing, but I'm not terribly familiar with the content. The article probably needs a serious rewrite by someone familiar with the material. -- Kesh 03:18, 5 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Did a little cleanup. Will do more when time permits. Not all the references seem reliable. Hoping someone knowledgable comes along; until then, will try. Pishogue 02:26, 10 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
