Trailer
editA friend of mine here in Iraq were discussing this: If CHU's can be transported like the article says, then wouldn't it also make them trailers? Merriam Webster's Dictionary defines "trailer" as "a nonautomotive vehicle designed to be hauled by road". Anyone care to edit or think my claim is valid?--153.29.119.60 (talk) 08:23, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
- It is close but I don't think your claim is valid. A CHU is generally transported to the site on a trailer, with packing inside to prevent the contents moving during transit. Once unloaded, the trailer is taken away and the CHU is generally left where it is sited. The may be integrated into a larger structure (see image 8 in this slideshow from the BBC)
- By contrast, a trailer home has a number of design features that come into play while it is being transported - things like cupboard latches. In theory, a trailer home can be made ready to hit the road again with minimal effort. Astronaut (talk) 08:45, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
