Too commercial edit
This page is too commercial, with too many products named and practically each one receiving its own advert. Jimcripps 17:27, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- disagree, the previous poster is an idiot who knows nothing about comic price guides. The reason companies are listed are because only a select few can truly appraise a comic. Stop trying to seem intelligent with your flagging.

I didn't flag anything. With the comic market as bad as sport cards, the only money being made (after the sale) is in grading. It's all made to over-inflate the market and it's products. The true quality of a product should be judged by the potential buyer, even Overstreet used to say "Buyer beware" (I don't know if they still do). I felt the article was too slanted toward the grading book printers and graders, favoring them instead of the buyer's judgement.
And, for quite some time (over several years), comic dealers have voiced their opinions over the validity of the guides. Pricing would be inflated in comparison to market demand, with only the occasional undervalued books also listed. Have the books changed? I'm not betting on it, but I have noticed that ad space and other content, has taken precedence over market review in Wizard, and perhaps others. Do buyers and collectors really want skewed reviews (biased to issue sales or marketing deals with the majors) over true values? Does a collector really want to put their money and faith into a program that is unregulated? (I have not seen any governing body over grading companies - especially any that would be untarnished). - Jimcripps is correct. I've seen thousands of Wiki pages, and this was one of the worst for violating WP:SPAM, WP:LINKSTOAVOID etc. Piano non troppo (talk) 15:09, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
