Articles about fonts in fonts edit

I used the HTML tags

<font></font>

and

{{DISPLAYTITLE}}

to write the title of the article and its introduction in Comic Sans. Wikipedia source code allows these tags to display text in certain fonts, and I think it's interesting and homological to have an article about a font written in the font. For example, the source code below is the input to the phrase "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" in Comic Sans.

  • Input
<font face="Comic Sans MS">The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog</font>
  • Output

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog

Synod vandalism edit

As some of the more involved editors of this page may have noticed, there has been an uptick in a particular sort of vandalism on this article, pertaining largely to the Catholic Church. The fault can be partially be laid on the upcoming Sixteenth Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, otherwise known as the "Synod on Synodality," and its associate style guide. It has become something of a running joke in Catholic social media circles to compare the fonts used in the style guide to Comic Sans. The offending edits will likely remain innocuous in nature but just be aware that this will likely last for another couple weeks more. ~ Pbritti (talk) 23:41, 24 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
