editI think that the Wikipedia pages for Home Invasion, Christmas Carole, Hugh Dunnit, Space Kidette and Phone a Fiend should be merged with this page, as they all lost their respective competitions. This means that there were so few strips of each that they aren't really notable enough to merit their own articles. I would make exceptions for Tricky Dicky (a former Topper character) and Gordon Bennett (who returned to the comic few years later). Jonny Whizz (talk) 13:42, 28 December 2011 (UTC) Jonny
All those pages have already been merged to List of Beano comic strips#List of Comic Idol Runners Up. This article itself itself is likely to be redirected as has happened at least a couple of times before. Eopsid (talk) 20:13, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
Jonny, I think maybe we should expand this article and add a few sources. The only thing stopping me from adding more on is the fact I don't know about some of the 1997 contestants. Do you allow blogs such as Lew Stringer's? If not, you could use the Scotsman article about Uh Oh Si Co last year, it does'nt actually mention the competition but it is about the controversial losing strip. 86.179.29.17 (talk) 13:18, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
