Clean-Up edit

Removed cleanup tag; I think the article is fine now. If anyone disagrees go ahead and feel free to put it back on with explanation. Ben Tibbetts 01:53, 6 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I removed the word "widow" because they were never married. Welby99 Sept. 20, 2011

I have read the ending of the novel several times and I can't find anywhere that it actually says the Inman dies. The final chapter though never mentioning Inman specifically, does say that they had three children, presumably not triplets. Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy with the film? The film scene on the hillside at the grave site is simply not in the book. I read it that Inman survives. (User: Mark Keller)

Three children are Ruby's boys. One child is Ada's daughter. It was clear to me that Inman dies. The chapter where they talk about their plans for a life together is plainly a substitute for an actual married life. - Emma74.181.119.172 (talk) 04:22, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

The first link is to a bed and breakfast. its only relation to the article is that the B&B is near the actual Cold Mountain. I don't think that link should be there, but I'll leave it up to more experienced people to make that call. 68.207.168.171 20:26, 3 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

You were dead on about it being suspect, and I've just removed the link. I cannot believe it was there for as long as it was! Thanks for the heads-up, and next time be WP:BOLD. :) María (habla conmigo) 20:42, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Cold mountain novel cover.jpg edit

Image:Cold mountain novel cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

That's Me Trying edit

In the song, That's Me Trying, by William Shatner (Has Been, 2004), this book is referenced. Should this info be included somehow? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.172.120.241 (talk) 03:48, 19 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ohio University Educational Program edit

Hello all, I will be contributing information to this page soon as part of an educational program for a course through Ohio University. If anyone has any questions, comments, or suggestions please feel free to reply.

Good luck with your project. I shall follow your progress in light of the fact that I shall soon be writing an article—Cold Mountain (opera)—because The Santa Fe Opera will be presenting the world premiere of the opera in 2015, written for it by Jennifer Higdon.
