lebanon's coat of arms and flag are one of the world's most spectacular view's comming from head of the falling students list at James K. Polk middle school.

           lebanon's flag should be posted at every kiosk in the world thats how cool it is 

and the same for the coat of arms and should be posted on every comercial on the history channel and the discovery channel every day as i said now that would be so cool.

Coat of arms

Although the coat of arms of Lebanon is not clearly officially documented, however the coat of arms is clearly visible on the Seal of the President of Lebanon (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Seal_of_the_President_of_Lebanon.png). A similar situation for example in Russia and the US, where sometimes the coat of arms is expressed without the escutcheon. A.h. king • Talk to me! 22:05, 1 January 2022 (UTC)

@A.h. king: that supposed coat of arms isn't even remotely similar to tis one. Even the tree doesn't match. Getting out a coat of arms from that presidential seal is simply speculation. Beshogur (talk) 16:27, 18 September 2023 (UTC)

I still can't believe people still trying to enforce the false emblem with a random 1973 source and with the presidential website that uses completely different emblem with a small emblem that's supposed to be similar to the one on the infobox, while the tree doesn't even match. Even if that was correct, it doesn't say anywhere "that certain part of the presidential emblem = emblem of Lebanon". Beshogur (talk) 23:31, 22 September 2023 (UTC)

That was an honest mistake - I legitimately thought that source described it as such as I'm not proficient in Arabic. I agree that the current sourcing veers into OR but your logic that the tree is different is incorrect: by that logic, Sodacan's depiction of the Coat of arms of the United Kingdom that we have on here versus other ones are different since the lions and shield shape similarly "don't match". I wouldn't be opposed to deleting it given that there doesn't seem to be enough RSes to cover it but your assertion that this is some sort of fictional creation (that just happens to appear on all the embassies and multiple governmental departments) is plainly incorrect. This is why I voted the way I did in the AfD; I didn't realise how hard it would be to find better sourcing for it at the time. ― novov (t c) 09:20, 26 September 2023 (UTC)

I'm not. You are confused and should read again what was written. I don't care about the coat of arms dispute and am arguing for the cedar tree to be used as the symbol as it is obviously the national symbol. You seem to be heavily biased in all of this however, spamming this page with the same thing over and over again. Now that I'm involved with this, here's my input on the situation. The definition of a coat of arms is a symbol on an escutcheon that represents the wearer. There is no law saying that a coat of arms needs to be defined in an official setting such as a constitutional vote or something like that. However, there are many examples of this symbol being used on an escutcheon in many of the Lebanese government's official governmental symbols. Therefore, isn't it logically a coat of arms of the country? It is being used in an official capacity in many different areas of the government. I'm not sure why this is even up for debate. Ask yourself why would anything like "emblem of Lebanon present on the emblem of president" ever be there unless it was to satisfy your own personal requirements for what a coat of arms is in this conversation? The president's emblem is there, it has the escutcheon with the cedar tree, and the red stripes in a diagonal. So that makes it two different times it's used in government symbols.
