The concept for The Silent Flute was the inspiration for the original tv series Kung Fu long before the movie was made. It was the studio's refusal to cast an Asian (Bruce Lee) in the main role that infuriated Bruce Lee and prompted him to leave the US for Hong Kong. The role was given to David Carradine. To state that the role was given to someone else because of Lee's death is patently false. Lee went back to Hong Kong because he realized that racist Hollywood and US tv executives would never give him the opportunity to any title role. And he blamed Stirling Sillaphant for stealing his ideas for The Silent Flute. 2600:1702:26E0:3E30:401E:85B1:3290:6D63 (talk) 00:18, 7 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
