Television series

The list contains The White Horses which is not even Serbian TV show, M(j)esoviti brak, which is mediocre (4.8 at imdb) at best (the same goes for Lisice) and The Collector which is very obscure (in Serbia, let alone in the rest of the world). So I am going to delete it, because it's not representative of Serbian TV series at all. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.221.236.108 (talk) 16:16, 1 September 2014 (UTC)

Serbian sources for articles on Serbian media topics

In the articles Oralno doba and Marko Živić Show, authored Serbian media sources are being used for citations. For Oralno doba:

  1. Press Magazin: "Oralno Doba Uz Anu I Cecu" - Google translation: "Oral and Age with Anu Cecu"
  2. Blic: "„Oralno doba“ kao kabare" - Google translation: "Oral period as a cabaret"
  3. Press Magazin: "Lane skinut sa Foksa!" - Google translation: "LANE removed from the FOX!"
  4. Politika: "Lane i prijatelji" - Google translation: "Lane & Friends"

For Marko Živić Show:

  1. Blic: "Ukinut „Marko Živić šou“" - Google translation: "Terminated Marko Zivic show"
  2. Kurir: "UĆUTKAN!: Televizija Foks bez logičnog objašnjenja ukinula šou Marka Živića" - Google translation: "Keep quiet!: Fox Television without logical explanation Marko Zivic show canceled"

While yes, the limitations of Google Translate are to be acknowledged, the content of the citations and the wide use of them in Serbia suggests to me that they are suitable, however I request that a determination be made as to whether or not the Serbian language sources Press Magazin, Blic, Kurir, and Politik might be considered reliable enough for citing these articles on Serbian television shows, as English language sources are unavailable. Active actors

Notable actors list is not quite okay. Some of those actors have literally ″stopped to exist″ after 10 roles (without rising to fame with those 10 movies), others are way too young, with not so many projects to really establish themselves as ″notable actors″; there is also an American theatre actress of Serbian descent — far from being known in Serbia. On the other hand, some actors with lifetime achievement awards are missing. – BoleynSRB (talk) 01:52, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

Then, a person called Vladan Nikolic is doing some selfpromotion here as well. - BoleynSRB (talk) 01:57, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

Could you please be more specific? I am willing to work on the article. Sadkσ (talk is cheap) 02:42, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

Cinema of Serbia

Hello Sadko, wasn’t sure if I can talk Serbian/Croatian to you. I must say I was surprised when I saw some names on that list. Most of them, ok, I get it why they are there. But some... I also pointed out who, and why. This is not based on any source or study, just my opinion. I say this as someone who has been working on cinema related articles on Serbian Wikipedia for more than 10 years.

Who to add:

Hello, I'm sorry for answering at this moment. I shall make sure to check your list. Thanks Bole. You can write at my Talk Page any time and feel free to edit Wikipedia. Thanks, Sadkσ (talk is cheap) 23:44, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

History of Cinema

The section "History of Cinema" should be stylistically changed. There is too much listing and naming of who won what award where for what film, such as "Serbian-born film director and university professor Stefan Arsenijević won the Golden Berlin Bear for his short movie (A) Torzija in 2003. Pavle Vučković won the 1st Prize of Cinefondation at the Cannes Film Festival in 2003 for this short Run Rabbit Run, and in 2007 he won the 3rd prize in the same category for Minus. It seems very repetitive and is present throughout the entire section. Also, the sub-section for 80s cinema is scarce and I think it should be expanded upon. Only four films are mentioned and there are two sentences about the "Belgrade school". I think there is a lack of non-Serbian language sources and references. Perhaps using some foreign sources could help both with expanding the page (especially the section on the history of cinema in Serbia) and with reducing repetitiveness. --Mnlght83 (talk) 23:26, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

I do not see that much of a problem with article's style, it's not ideal, for sure, but the article/style presents all the important information, and winning a major award is of merit for history of any cinema. I look forward to your contributions and expansion, fellow editor. Cheers, Sadkσ (talk is cheap) 23:35, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
