Justin's Office

edit

When Team Bartowski breaks into the first facility, is it actually a CIA facility? Would Beckman be there? DNI facility? --Boycool42 (talk) 16:08, 9 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

I think it's made pretty clear in the episode that it actually IS a CIA or some other government installation.Ambaryer (talk) 16:10, 9 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Yes, but is it really a CIA facility (rather than NSA, DNI, etc.) if General Beckman has and office and authority there? --Boycool42 (talk) 00:09, 11 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
All we can go by is what's in the episodes. Justin identified it to Ellie as a CIA base. We initially assumed it was actually a Ring facility, until Chuck and Co. broke in and determined it actually WAS a government facility. There's certainly nothing to say that Beckman's office was a permanent one, it may have been given over to her use while she was there for the briefing. Until something says otherwise that it was NSA or DNI, we need to go by what we know from the episode. Ambaryer (talk) 00:41, 11 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Makes sense. After all, they were there temporarily for the Joint Security Summit. --Boycool42 (talk) 01:27, 11 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Pop Culture References

edit

When noting Pop Culture references PLEASE refrain from adding those that require significant amounts of stretching or interpretation. Shaw shooting Chuck's dad is NOT an "obvious" reference to Last Crusade, as it is a very generic scenario (not only that, but there is no relation between the situations beyond the bad guy killing the main character's father in front of him—a VERY common trope in many genres of fiction, fyi. Shaw shot Stephen to interfere with the Intersect. Donovan shot Indy's dad to force Indy to recover the Grail).Ambaryer (talk) 03:26, 10 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Could the name McTiernan industries be a reference to the director John McTiernan? 87.194.135.81 (talk) 20:32, 17 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

It's hard to say. Best rule of thumb I can suggest would be: If you have to ask it needs a referenced source. Ambaryer (talk) 20:34, 17 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
