Sly Grogging in Colonial Australia

The operators of 'sly grog shanties' i.e. hostelries which sold liquor illegally during the Colonial era of Australia, had the reputation of slipping a Micky Finn into the drinks, and then robbing the unconscious imbiber. Chlordoyne is alleged to have been one of the substances used to drug customers in this manner. See this case, for example. Bluedawe
