Alex James

"Blur bassist Alex James lives on a sheep and dairy farm outside the village" Outside what village? The page for Alex James says it is Kingham, which is what I thought, so surely this statement should be on the Kingham page. Bruern Crossing (talk) 19:18, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

chippingnorton.net

Recently user 86.157.101.179 removed the external link to chippingnorton.net giving as reason "removed link to disused website". In fact chippingnorton.net is a very active website updated several times a week and with a busy forum. I therefore undid the edit only to have it put back again. I have asked 86.157.101.179 for an explanation of the "disused" term but received no reply. I can't think of any reasons for removing the link and the explnation given is clearly untrue.

Obvious move

I have been bold and copied this entire article to Chipping Norton, replaced with a redirect and added a dablink to the Sydney, Australia suburb. This is a no-brainer move; original towns which have colonies named after them should be the main subject unless the colonial town is *massively* more important (eg. Boston vs. Boston, Lincolnshire; Worcester vs. Worcester, Massachusetts). The suburb of Sydney is not massively more important than the Oxfordshire original, hence an obvious move. Notable Residents

This section says "This list includes notable persons who were born or have lived in Chipping Norton." Although all have connections with the area, to my knowledge: Ronnie Barker was not a resident (although he had a shop in the town), he lived in Dean. Rebekah Brooks lives in Sarsden. Rachel Ward lived in Cornwell. David Cameron's house is in Dean. Should we really regard these as residents of Chipping Norton?Bruern Crossing (talk) 21:18, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
