DJ Taucher single

edit

User:Cuchullain, thanks for adding "also" in between may [also] refer to and other changes. However can I ask why DJ Taucher single was removed from the dab? In ictu oculi (talk) 17:15, 10 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

I missed it being mentioned in the article. I've added it back now.--Cúchullain t/c 17:18, 10 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

User:Cuchullain, you removed child of the universe from Desiderata. "You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars" The string "You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars" has exponentially more hits on Google Books than any of the other references put together, partly as being the musical refrain to the Grammy award winning Desiderata (album) In ictu oculi (talk) 08:33, 13 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Which I should have known we didn't have an article on because a Danish heavy metal album is more notable to our editor base... Desiderata (Les Crane album) In ictu oculi (talk) 10:48, 13 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
The article's text doesn't mention that line. We don't include entries for items of different titles unless they're alternately known by that name, or the name is discussed on the dab page (as in, it has its own section). It's hard to imagine anyone typing that phrase in if they're really looking for "Desiderata".--Cúchullain t/c 14:07, 13 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
Well, what we can imagine should be determined by what is in sources. It isn't hard for me to imagine someone looking for Desiderata by "child of the universe" - not just since that is the refrain of the second 1972 recording of the poem as a song, but also since Google Books shows some sources doing exactly that. What you're describing is exactly the case. In ictu oculi (talk) 15:08, 13 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
I disagree. Disambiguation pages aren't for listing potentially related topic, they're for distinguishing between articles that have the same name. The phrase isn't even mentioned in that article.--Cúchullain t/c 15:44, 13 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
They're for distinguishing between articles that might have the same name. I've put a reference to Desiderata back into the DAB. It's important that people who search on this phrase can get easily to the article they want. Andrewa (talk) 00:26, 22 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
