Talk:Celt belt

Latest comment: 18 years ago by GlamdringCookies in topic Merge?

I just removed the following... One definition takes in only those areas in which Celtic languages are still spoken, but another broader one takes in Brittany and the non-English parts of the British isles.

The only places Celtic languages are spoken and Celtic cultures survive are in Britanny and the non-English parts of the British Isles.. And diaspora communities from cultures originating there (ie. the Scottish Gaels in Nova Scotia, Welsh in Argentina, etc). The criteria of the first definition fits the places listed as fitting in the 'broader' one.--4.247.122.28 21:37, 31 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Merge?

edit

Some folks are now developing a Celtic nations article (this might move eventually to a different name), which now leaves this stub largely redundant. I think all the information here could probably be more usefully presented there. Shall we merge? QuartierLatin1968   05:00, 2 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Merge is fine by me, as long as we are careful to actually merge, and not just redirect.--Mais oui! 20:57, 2 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
I merged them, but in the form of a redirect, as I am under the impression is usual for a merge. I did add to "Celtic nations" all information from "Celt belt" that wasn't already there, so I hope there's no problem. Slainte. -GlamdringCookies 21:06, 2 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
